Were it not for a scheduling conflict, my father would have been in the hotel directly adjacent to the World Trade Center last night. He would likely have been in one of the towersf today at 8:43 AM, when the first plane impacted the tower. He's all right -- he never made it out of Ottawa yesterday -- but I have never felt so sick to my stomach in my life.
