Thread Review for Abandonment (newest post first)

Little Theatre, University of Cape Town Hiddingh Campus. From May 3 to 10 give way to Abandonment by award-winning novelist Kate Atkinson, a third-year drama-student production directed by yet another award-winner, Jacqui Singer. The play shifts betwqeen two time zones as a present-day feminist (played by Caryn Petersen) encounters a Victorian governess with, well, relationship issues. Themes? “love, death, identity, the chaos theory and evolution.” Sounds like AS Byatt meets Tom Stoppard at the graveside of Charlotte Brontë. Go and see. Bookings: Tel: or .
